CYRO is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting orphans, children and youth through education, health, peace building and community empowerment.
Founded in September 2021 as Yatim Orphan Care Organization (YOCO), CYRO works from Jigjiga, Ethiopia to provide relief, opportunity and hope to vulnerable children and youth across the Somali region and beyond.

CYRO conducted a field data-collection study documenting the situation of orphaned children across five zones of the Somali Region — Fafan, Erer, Qoraxey, Doolo and Shabelle. The report surveys over 1,000 orphans, examining their living conditions, education, health, caregivers, and most urgent needs.
