CYRO's Peace Building program operates Youth Peace Circles in five cities: Jigjiga, Dire Dawa, Tuligulled, Wardheer and Godey.
Each circle brings together 10 young people — 5 women and 5 men — who meet every month to discuss their role in peace building within their communities. The equal gender balance ensures that both young women and men shape the conversation and lead change together.
Through dialogue, members identify local peace challenges, resolve tensions, and design youth-led actions that strengthen unity and social cohesion.
Each circle of 10 youth — 5 female and 5 male — convenes once every month in their city.
Members discuss peace challenges and opportunities in their local communities, sharing perspectives across gender and background.
Circles agree on concrete youth-led actions to promote peace, resolve tensions and build unity.
Help us expand Youth Peace Circles to more cities and more young leaders.
